This week, Trevor and Katie headed back up to Bolesworth for the Al Sharia’aa Young Horse Championships.

Homebred Highland President started his show off with a stunning double clear in the 2* 1.40, qualifying him for the Grand Prix on Sunday. New ride Monks Diarados Boy showed us what he was made of in the 2* 1.30 jumping a speedy double clear to finish in 12th.  Jircarla T finished the day on a high, slotting into 10th in the 7-year-old Qualifer and qualifying for the 7-year-old final on Sunday.

Friday was Escapade H’s time to shine in the 2* 1.35. Finishing just off the podium in 4th place. It was then Groundhog Day on Saturday when Eddie and Trevor repeated the same result, coming 4th in the 2* 1.35 in the main ring. It’s great to see Eddie looking and feeling so good!

Sunday was an exciting day at Bolesworth with all the young horse finals and the Grand Prix on in the main arena. In the 7-year-old final, Old Lodge’s Jircarla T sped to a podium to finish in 2nd place as well as qualifying for the CSI YH1* 7YO Championship at the Liverpool International Horse Show in January 2022. A fantastic result for this impressive mare who has such a bright future ahead of her. In the 2* Grand Prix, it was Highland President that stepped up to the challenge. Holding his own in an impressive field, Archie and Trevor jumped two impressive rounds to come 8th, adding another top 10 Grand Prix finish to their resume.

A huge thanks to the whole team at Bolesworth for putting on yet another fantastic show – we can’t wait to be back next year!
