This week Breen Sport Horses was at FEI WBFSH Jumping World Breeding Championship for Young Horses with Old Lodge’s Jicarla T.
This special 7-year-old mare impressed us every day, jumping a quick and fast clear in the first two-phase qualifier to finish in 7th, no mean feat in a class of 188 of the world’s most talented 7-year-olds. She was again speedy and fast in the second qualifier, with an unlucky rail keeping her out of the money but still qualifying for the final on Sunday.
After a day off, “Carla” jumped her heart out in the 7-year-old final on Sunday and really showed us why she deserves to be on the world stage of showjumping. We couldn’t be prouder of this young mare and honoured to have the privilege of producing her through her younger years. We are sure there’s so much more to come from her!
