Trevor and his team of horses had a fantastic 3 weeks in the sun out in Vilamoura, Portugal.
KANNENDRO
Home bred and half-brother to stable star ‘Highland President’ – 7yo ‘Kannendro’ (Cinsey x Kannan) has given us plenty to get excited about as he looks towards his 8yo year. He is the whole packlage and we think an awful lot of him.
He jumped clear after clear all tour, picking up several placings including a 5th in the 7yo final during the first week.
DESPERADO S.W
Not to be outdone, our other 7yo and new kid on the block ‘Desperado SW’ (Diatendro x Chacco-Blue) jumped some fantastic round over the tour – ending on a high by taking 5th in the 7yo final during the last week
JICARLA T
Our exciting and super-careful ‘Jicarla T’ (Caretino Gold x Numero Uno) jumped some top class rounds in the 3* 1,40m classes throughout the tour, taking home 4 top-10 placings, excelling in the speed classes. This special 8-year-old really keeps stepping into her own and proving herself again and again.
GONZALO
Speed machine ‘Gonzalo’ (Viceroy T x Londontimes) continued his winning streak, taking victory in the 3* 1,45m Saturday Ranking class in week 1, having finished 7th in the 1,45m the Friday before.
GERMAINE W
Last but certainly not least – ‘Germaine W’ (Eldorado VS Zeshoek x Armstrong) finished off her impeccable season in fine style, taking home a top-10 placing during week 1. Her and Trevor were selected to fly the flag for Team Ireland in the CSIO3* Nations Cup during the last week – jumping a fantastic clear round to help the team secure 3rd place on the podium. She has had a fantastic nations cup campaign this year and we’re proud of her progress – with a lot to look forward to in 2023.
Another great tour for the books – we can’t wait to come back next year! A huge thank you as always to our fantastic team of staff, owners and sponsors whose invaluable support has resulted in a 2022 to remember. We will soon head back to the UAE for the winter season with a team of top horses, whilst the team at home will continue producing the young stars of the future. Watch this space!
