A month filled with training, Mia jumping some incredible rounds on her ponies, and new rider Charlie Atkinson is getting to know our team of incredibly talented young horses, Breen Sport Horses has been all systems go!
Mia has spent the month of June getting to know her new 6-year-old pony, Hipster. Showing him the ropes in his first few 138cm classes at Southview Pony Premier, the pair jumped some incredible clear rounds! Later in the month, they headed to Coomeblands Pony Premier, continuing their great form to jump even more clear rounds. Their month ended with a fantastic performance in the Mini-Major at Hickstead in front of a huge crowd. We are so proud of Mia, who is already producing ponies with such talent and showing great horsemanship!
Breen Sport Horses then welcomed up-and-coming Junior rider Charlie Atkinson to the team. Having just returned from representing Great Britain at CSIO-Y Zuidwolde, Charlie will be based with us, with his exciting string of horses, and he will compete with some of our horses under the guidance of Trevor and Caroline.
The first Hickstead of the year did not disappoint. As Charlie’s first show under The Breen Sport Horses banner, he and his own ‘Concert Z’ won the Speed Derby qualifier – expertly trained by Trevor and Caroline. He also jumped some fantastic results on Breen Sport Horse rides Kannoon Blue and Desert Encounter OL.
As we look forward to the rest of the season, we are extremely lucky to have such a great team around us! Thank you for your ongoing support; we cannot wait to see what July brings!

We’re also excited to welcome Emily Gulliver to the team – she has represented Team GB on multiple Nations Cup teams for Children On Horses. She has qualified HOYS in Pony Showjumper of the Year 148 at Chard. She’s also been selected for the COH Europeans for Team GB, and we couldn’t be more excited to support her at this event!
