It’s always a pleasure to be able to compete on the international circuit in the UK, and Chard is becoming one of our favourite venues.
We are incredibly proud of homebred Kannendro who made his international debut this show. Taking all the 1.30 classes in his stride, he spun around the first day for 11th. Each time he entered the ring, he got better and better. Not putting a foot wrong in the final, he made the challenging jump off class look easy under the careful education of Trevor to claim 8th and claim some prize money. This half-brother of Highland President is definitely one to watch!

The Old Lodge Stud’s Jircarla T also stood out from the crowd this show. The 8-year-old mare sped to a podium finish in the 2* 1.40 for 3rd place, just 0.79 seconds behind the winner. This lovely mare by Caretino Gold then made her Grand Prix debut on the Sunday. Jumping a foot perfect clear in the first round, she was only one of fourteen to leave all the fences up. ‘Carla’ and Trevor put in a solid round in the jump off to finish in the money – and they were in very good company! We always knew this mare was special and we are so excited to see what else she is capable of.
Germaine W had a good preparation for her Nations Cup appearance at Prague CSIO3* in a few weeks time, jumping clear on the first two days of the show, schooling around for a couple of time faults. She feels fantastic and ready to fly the Irish flag very soon.
As always, a huge thanks to our owners, team, and sponsors who make it all possible.
