October has been another month to remember here at Breen Sport Horses, with outstanding performances and special moments at this year’s Horse of the Year Show. It was a week that truly reflected the strength and spirit of our horses and riders.
The highlight of the month was undoubtedly Trevor’s victory in the Leading Showjumper of the Year Grand Prix at HOYS with our nine-year-old homebred ‘Kannoon Blue’. The pair produced the only double clear in the class to clinch the prestigious title in front of a packed crowd at Birmingham’s NEC.
There were further strong results across the week. 7YO ‘Kilcoltrim Diamond’ continued his excellent form under Rachel Proudley, jumping clear to place 6th in the Talentseekers. ‘Konrad Obolensky’ impressed once again to finish 7th in the CSI3* 1.45m Evoke Stakes, while ‘ABC Cortana Cruise’ demonstrated her quality, finishing 5th in the 3* 1.45m Welcome Stakes.
It was also a milestone event for Mia, who made her HOYS debut with ‘Another Milton’ in the 138cm Championship, delivering a confident performance before Milton moved on to a new home. Mia has since begun an exciting new partnership with ‘Solid Gold HS Z’, jumping a promising clear at Coombelands in the 1.10m Open and another clear to place 2nd in her first Senior 1.20m. To top off a memorable month, she also celebrated her 13th birthday. Happy birthday, Mia!
As always, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to our incredible team, supportive owners, and generous sponsors. Your continued dedication and belief is what makes these special achievements possible.
