Following a successful January, February has been nothing short of exceptional for the Breen Sport Horses team. While the team at home has continued preparing steadily ahead of the upcoming season, Trevor ensured his U.A.E. season concluded in spectacular fashion.
‘Konrad Obolensky’ and Trevor firstly delivered a superb clear round earlier in the month in Abu Dhabi, finishing 13th in a highly competitive CSI5* 1m50 class, to then taking Sharjah by storm flying around the H.H. Sharjah Ruler Cup two-phase CSI5*-W 1m50 class to clinch the win at the last event of their U.A.E. stay, making it the 9-year-old’s first 5* win. This incredible result further underlined his exceptional talent, once again proving that no challenge is too big an ask.
For the much-anticipated opening leg of the Longines League of Nations (LLN) series, we were thrilled that Trevor was again selected for the team with the uber-consistent ‘Highland President’ – the combination which produced eight consecutive clear rounds at Nation Cup events in 2025. As Ireland’s pathfinder, the pair rose to the occasion again, jumping an excellent clear round in the CSIO5*-LLN 1m60 opening round and setting their team off to a strong start. Teammates Shane Breen and Niamh McEvoy followed suit, jumping stunning clears in the first round, showing just how capable Team Ireland is. As always, a huge thanks to Horse Sport Ireland for the selection, it’s always an honour to put on the green jacket!
Reflecting on the early months of 2026, it has already been an exciting period for the team. From podium finishes in the U.A.E. to continued facility upgrades at home in Henfield, preparations are well underway for what promises to be another exciting year ahead. We take great pride in offering the highest standard of training facilities in the area and would like to thank our clients for their continued trust in BSH.
Finally, we would like to extend our sincere thanks to our team, sponsors, and owners for their ongoing support. Without them, the opportunities and achievements we have enjoyed so far would not be possible.
